29,351 Overseas Filipinos have been repatriated by the DFA

DFA Repatriation Update as of 23 May 2020

A total of 29,351 Overseas Filipinos (OFs) have now been repatriated by the DFA since it began bringing back Filipinos affected by COVID-19 in February.

Of this number, 66.8 percent (19,610 Overseas Filipinos  are sea-based and 33.2 percent (9,741 Overseas Filipinos) are land-based, with the most recent repatriates arriving from Saudi Arabia today.

Overseas Filipinos who wish to be repatriated are requested to signify their interest to the nearest Embassies or Consulates General in their area.

Moreover, they are advised that availability of flights might be affected by several factors such as travel restrictions from their country of origin as well as the limited capacity of the facilities in the Philippines that can accommodate them upon their return.

Per Department of Health (DOH) Memo 2020-0200, all returning OFs are required to undergo testing and mandatory quarantine in government-designated facilities or BOQ-approved quarantine hotels until they receive their test results.
