OWWA confirmed that a 42-year old Pinay overseas worker was found dead in an OWWA-accredited quarantine facility this morning. According to SOCO assessment, there was no foul play. OWWA is now seeking help from AFP to send OFW’s remains back home
OWWA will also seek the help of mental health experts to address psychosocial needs of all arriving overseas workers. For COVID-19 related concerns, which may also include mental and psychosocial support, call the Red Cross hotline 1158 and/or OWWA Hotline 1349 (for referral).
