Avoid 300 Pesos monthly service charge from your BDO Kabayan Savings Account

We have seen many post from social media about some OFW BDO Kabayan Savings Account being charged or deducted for 300 pesos to the point that their account balance became zero.

This will happen when your BDO Kabayan Savings Account is converted to regular savings account and zero monthly penalty can no longer be enjoyed once the account becomes a regular savings account because P300 will be deducted on the account every month each time it falls below the monthly maintaining balance.

This makes me search in the web and ask question through BDO Kabayan Facebook page for clarification because I am afraid that I have not remit once during the past year.

And this is what I got:

Magandang araw!
Please be advised that the new account maintenance for BDO Kabayan Savings started last October 1, 2018.
