The Public Prosecution carried out investigations and detained a number of violators of the Supreme Committee decision on suspended services, and rumor mongers.
Investigations are being carried out with a number of suspended services providers and users, in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Committee for dealing with COVID-19; some of them are held on remand imprisonment, pending investigation.
The authority have arrested a number of rumor mongers and publishers of classified content and other contents prejudicial to the public order. The criminal prosecution included all those who republished and send the said materials.
The Public Prosecution urges citizens and residents not to publish any news or information related to the epidemic and take the information from official sources.
