Children age 12 and below are not allowed to enter malls and shops

The Supreme Committee decided to add ban travelers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and those coming from any other country if they had passed through any of these countries during the 14 days prior to the request for entry to the Sultanate from April 24, 2021.

The suspension will continue until further notice, with the exception of Omani citizens, diplomats, health workers and their families, and the excluded groups will be subject to the procedures adopted upon entering the Sultanate.

It also decided not to allow children under the age of twelve to enter malls and shops, and stresses the need for complexes, shops, restaurants, and cafes to abide by the decision to reduce entry to no more than 50% of their capacity, and legal measures will be taken against those who violate this.

It was decided to continue applying distance education in all classrooms in public and private schools and all higher education institutions, except for the twelfth grade and students who must be present for the applied parts of their specializations, such as students of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences and students of vocational training.

The Supreme Committee called on all relevant authorities to seek the help of volunteers in all the states of the Sultanate to monitor the extent of commitment to the implementation of the committee’s decisions, especially in centres, shops, markets, restaurants and cafes, in coordination with the offices.
