Supreme Committee decides to close all commercial activities from March 4 to March 20, 2021

The Supreme Committee charged with examining the mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus (Covedl9), has followed up on its ongoing meeting with effects this pandemic; the Committee has reviewed the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 at the international level where many countries of the world are witnessing a sharp increase in the number of infections and deaths, some of which is attributed to the presence of rapidly spreading mutated virus strains.

Closure of all commercial activities in all provinces of Oman between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, until the morning of Saturday, March 20, 2021, the closure referred to includes restaurants and cafes within tourist facilities in addition to home delivery services, excluding gas stations, Health institutes, and private pharmacies.

Students continue to receive distance learning education in public schools from Sunday, March 7, 2021, until Thursday, March 11, 2021. During this period of time progress will be assessed with the latest developments according to the epidemiological situation in Oman.

The Committee stresses the seriousness of this phase, in which the disease is spreading at the local and global levels, and calls on all to take the utmost care and to protect all members of their families and communities, especially the elderly, children, and the elderly, Chronic diseases, and The supreme Committee also calls on everyone to avoid the establishment of gatherings that have been proven to cause widespread and serious infections among The community.
