The Philippine Embassy in Muscat has released a public advisory on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, regarding its closure during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
In view of the forthcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays and the recent measures adopted by the Omani authorities in the effort to stem the spread of COVID-19 infections, the Philippine Embassy (Consular Section and Philippine Overseas Labor Office [POLO-Muscat]) will be closed to the public on 9-13 May 2021 (Sun-Thu). Consular, labor, and welfare services will thereby be temporarily suspended.
If the first day of Eid Al Fitr falls on 13 May 2021 (Thu), the Embassy will resume operations on 16 May 2021 (Sun). If the first day of Eid Al Fitr falls on 14 May 2021 (Fri), the Embassy will resume operations on 18 May 2021 (Tuesday).
Passport applicants who have online bookings on 9-11 May 2021 (Sun-Tue) will receive email advisories on re-scheduling their appointments. All re-scheduling requests must be sent to muscatpe.consular@dfa.qov.ph. Requests by telephone or messaging apps will not be entertained.
