Complete closure of commercial activities in Oman from May 8 until May 15

The Supreme Committee has issued new decisions on Sunday evening, May 02, 2021 to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The lockdown hours have been extended to between 7 pm and 4 am from Saturday, May 8 until May 15. All commercial activities will be prohibited throughout the day, with the exception of food stores, gas stations, healthcare centers, and gas stations.

The Supreme Committee has also decided to suspend the attendance of employees to their places of work and to adopt a remote work system in the various units of the state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons, starting from Sunday, May 9, 2021, until Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

The Supreme Committee urges private sector companies to implement business continuity plans by working remotely and reducing the number of employees who are required to come to the workplace.

Supreme Committee allows home delivery during the lockdown period between May 8 and May 15.

The Supreme Committee has decided not to hold Eid prayers and traditional Eid markets and to prohibit gatherings of all kinds in various locations, including beaches, parks, and public parks, during the days of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, and include gatherings of families, greeting gatherings and collective celebrations of Eid.
