The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said in a statement that as part of the ministry’s follow-up to tourism and hotel facilities and travel and tourism offices in cooperation and coordination with the relevant government agencies to ensure the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee concerned with managing the consequences of the COVID-19, the Chedi Muscat Hotel has been closed for the period of time.

“The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism announced the closure of The Chedi Muscat for an approved time period, in addition to applying the applicable penalties, after coronavirus cases were confirmed as a result of non-compliance with the implementation of the preventive measures,” Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism once again called on all tourist and hotel establishments and travel and tourism offices to fully comply with the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee and the Ministry of Health, and that it is continuing to follow up and monitor all facilities and take all that ensures the safety of tourist facilities.
