The Government Communication Centre (GC) confirmed that a delivery worker has tested positive for COVID-19 and transmitted the disease to his family and a number of consumers.
The GC calls on residents to take precautionary measures.
The GC said in a statement: “We confirm the validity of what is being circulated regarding the presence of coronavirus infections due to the delivery of orders and goods for homes in a number of wilayats.”
“We call upon everyone to adhere to the measures that must be taken to prevent the transmission of infection when shopping and receiving goods from delivery representatives, and to abide by the decisions of the Supreme Committee to avoid any legal accountability,” the statement added.
