Due to the fast-paced technology, almost everyone has a smartphone that they can’t live without. Because of this, people are fond of taking selfies, sceneries, food, and any other things that they want to share online.
However, there are some restrictions to our liberty of taking pictures. In respect to one’s privacy, taking, and worst sharing pictures of anyone without permission is against the law. Anyone who will be caught can be penalized by the court.
An Asian Domestic Helper in UAE is now facing a criminal charge after being caught taking and sharing her employer and her daughters’ private pictures with his boyfriend.
According to the employer, her suspicions began when she noticed her maid’s unusual behavior. The helper has a weird habit of holding her phone even while she’s cleaning their house. It seems that the maid was hiding something on her phone because she doesn’t want to let go of it even just for a minute.
She is holding it no matter what chore she is doing.
Due to her curiosity, the employer decided to check the phone when her maid once forgot it. Upon opening the gallery, she was surprised to see her and her daughters’ private pictures.
She also learned that her maid made a video clip of their pictures and enjoyed watching it together with her boyfriend who was constantly visiting their house.
The furious employer filed a case against the maid and it was filed at Fujairah criminal court. During the hearing, the maid was asked about the charges but she did not deny or admit it. She just remained silent and did not try to defend herself.
As of this moment, the maid is still waiting for her verdict as the ruling is scheduled to be released before the end of the month.
