Diversion of International flights from Mactan-Cebu Airport to NAIA extended

Palace extends diversion of flights from Mactan Cebu Intl Airport to NAIA until June 12, says presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

Executive Secretary Medialdea’s office released memo extending diversion of International flights bound for Cebu to NAIA until June 12, says Roque. “Ito po’y para maayos ‘yong pag-i-implement ng IATF arrival protocol sa Cebu.”

The order to divert flights to Naia was earlier imposed after Cebu implemented its own testing protocols on passengers arriving from abroad where returning Filipinos undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival.

He adds IATF protocols for arriving Pinoys expected to be in place in Cebu starting June 13
