Financial assistance for OFWs stranded due to super typhoon Ompong

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat informs OFWs in Oman who were stranded because of the onslaught of Super Typhoon “Ompong”, as their outbound or inbound flights from or to Manila were delayed for the period 14 – 18 September 2018, that the Philippine government will be providing financial assistance in the amount of One Hundred US Dollars (US$100.00). The financial assistance may be claimed with the submission of the following:

  1. Copy of data page of passport;
  2. Copy of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) , or exemption;
  3. Copy of immigration stamps showing departure to or from Manila;
  4. Copy of boarding passes;
  5. Copy of ticket of cancelled or delayed outbound (Philippines to Oman) or Inbound (Oman to Philippines) due to from Manila to final destination.

The Embassy will be accepting claims for the said financial assistance until 21 September 2018.
