GCC Airlines Baggage Allowances

Plan your flight very well particularly during this time of the pandemic. Aside from additional requirements before boarding, it is a good practice to carry only the safe weight of baggage to enjoy a relaxing flight and avoid the necessary hassle – over baggage.

The best way to check your allowed baggage allowance is of course to take a look at your ticket. It is usually stated there. But if you are still planning your trip and would like to know the allowed baggage of each airline then continue reading.

I received so many private messages and saw some post comments asking how many kilos they can bring. So, let’s take a look at what are the baggage allowances of all the airlines in GCC that fly to the Philippines.

Emirates

You can check in as many bags as you like up to the weight allowance for your travel class. Each individual bag must not weigh more than 32kg.

The weight concept applies to all routes, except when you travel to and from the Americas and from Africa.

Gulf Air

Passengers looking for increased travel flexibility and booked on our Economy Friendly and Economy Freedom fare families will enjoy an allowance of two checked-in baggage at 23kg each. Our Falconflyer members’ redemption tickets in Economy class will also enjoy two checked-in baggage at 23kg each.

For our budget travellers, our Deal and Basic Economy family fares allow passengers an allowance of one checked-in baggage at 23kg.

Exception note for Economy Class passengers

  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Dammam to Iraq and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates to Jordan, Lebanon and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates to Morocco, Turkey and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, Greece to the Philippines and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates to Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Iraq to Jeddah, Madinah and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Lebanon, Jordan to Morocco and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from India to Egypt, Iraq and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Cyprus to Chennai, Colombo, Delhi, Dhaka, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lahore¸ Manila, Mumbai, Riyadh, Thiruvananthapura and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from Greece, Jordan, Lebanon to Sudan, Ethiopia and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
  • Passengers flying from London, Greece to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and vice-versa, are allowed 2 checked in pieces at 23 KGs each in all Economy class fare families.
