How to track the status of your passport application

As we live in the digital era, I do enjoy availing services online particularly the government services wherein you can easily accomplish things by merely sitting and working in front of your computer with a few keystrokes and mouse clicks.

It was on November 01, 2021, when the Philippine Embassy in Muscat has announced the new online and centralized passport appointment system, the https://www.passport.gov.ph/.

When the system was finally accessible in Oman, I immediately dive in and booked my passport renewal.

“Isang buwan po ha, itetext na lang po kayo pag dumating na ang passport ninyo”. Ever heard of those words? If you recently renewed your passport in the Embassy, I am sure you heard those last parting words when you are finally done with the process of renewing your passport.

You hold on to those words, wait for a month, or wait for the SMS to know when your passport is ready for collection.

Unfortunately, with my experience, I haven’t received any SMS from the Embassy regarding my passport. It has been a month and 13 days since I renewed my passport.

Good thing while I was browsing through the appointment system, I saw this one clickable tab “Track your Passport” that goes to this link – https://tracker.passport.gov.ph/

I immediately ask DFA Philippines through their official Twitter account if the tracker is working even if I renewed in Oman and this is what I got

So, there’s the confirmation.

How to track your passport application?

  1. Go to https://passport.gov.ph/ and look for the “Track your Passport” link or go directly to https://tracker.passport.gov.ph/
  2. Enter your Appointment Reference Numbe (ARN) – you can find this number in the Confirmation Notification email from DFA Passport Appointment System. OR, you can search using your last name and first name
  3. Click search

You should have this status result.

There you go, no sweat eh! You can easily track your passport application from the comfort of your high-end overpriced mobile phone, laptop, or computer.
