Volunteers among Omani Nationals or other nationals residing in the Sultanate of Oman are invited to take part in a trial for testing operational readiness of Muscat International Airport on Friday, September 25th, 2020, 9:00 AM, ahead of the planned re-opening of the airport on October 1st.

Muscat International Airport will be conducting health screening procedures and COVID-19 testing for all arriving passengers, and so we are inviting 150 volunteers to undergo the full arrival process including: registration, immigration, COVID-19 PCR tests (nasal swabs), and exit through the baggage claim hall.

In the afternoon, we will be testing our drive-through COVID-19 testing facility with the help of a smaller number of volunteers. As part of the trial, you will receive a free PCR test (worth OMR 25), with the result communicated to you within 24 hours.

Once you complete the registration form and receive an approval email to participate in the trial, you need to ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • Bring your valid passport and airport pass if you have one.
  • Attendance is limited to age 12 and above.
  • Make sure to be at the airport at 9:00 AM on Friday, 25th September.
