With Oman’s tourism is becoming huge deal, more shopping malls will be opening in coming days and years.
Developers Al Jarwani and Tamani Global for Development and Investment have announced that their upcoming new mall in Maabela has been rebranded, from Palm Mall to Mall of Muscat.
At an agreement signing ceremony at Sundus Rotana Hotel, Al Jarwani Group and Tamani Global for Development & Investment announced the re-branding of Palm Mall to Mall of Muscat and alongside new partners, unveiled the future of the development.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Mohammed Bin Salem Al Tobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affair, the event highlighted the commitment of the developers to the growth of Oman’s economy and tourism through the creation of more than 5,000 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs, unique attractions and entertainment facilities, which will raise the standard of shopping malls in the Sultanate.
Mall of Muscat is located in Mabellah and conveniently situated between the Muscat Expressway and Highway 1. It will contain the much anticipated Oman Aquarium (the largest aquarium in the Middle East at 8,000 sqm) which promises to deliver fun and excitement alongside education and conservation projects; an enormous Snow Park brilliantly designed over an area of 5,600 sqm will appeal to all ages; a dedicated outdoor dining ‘street’ and in excess of 200 shops offering shoppers specialized international brands that will only be available within Mall of Muscat.
The mall is on track to open in the last quarter of 2018
