The Ministry of Labour has clarified about videos that were circulated on social media regarding evacuation of offices from expat workforces who have violated in a number of private sector establishments.
“In light of the videos that were circulated regarding the evacuation of offices from the expat workforces who have violated in a number of private sector establishments when the judicial control officers’ inspection visits. The Ministry of Labour would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who interacted in these videos, which shows the full and conscious care of the employees for the damage these practices caused in the labour market. By following up on these circulating videos, it was found that they date back to extremely old times,” the Ministry of Labour said.
The Ministry of Labour added that it is also not possible to verify that those videos were filmed before or during the period when the judicial officers conducted the inspection visits in those facilities.
The Ministry confirms that it is proceeding with inspection plans to monitor violations of the labour law in a manner that ensures the organisation of the labour market, and that it is fully prepared to cooperate in this aspect.
