The Ministry of Health on Wednesday, February 16, 2020, issued a circular that cancelled the attestation fee of OMR 5 for the COVID-19 PCR negative certificate for the purpose of travelling outside Oman.
The statement of the Ministry of Health read as folllows:
“Kindly note that Covid-19 PCR negative test results forms have been stopped from printing for travellers and cancelled the attestation fees ( OMR 5 only) and it will be content with the PCR test results with QA code. Results must be registered in Tarassud. This is for your information and action.”
Earlier those travelling from outside Oman used to pay an additional fee of OMR 5 towards getting the accreditation stamp on the PCR test result. “They need not print the PCR certificate, a digital format (PDF) with OR code is enough for travel. Results must be registered in Tarassud,” MOH confirmed.
