A ministerial decision issued by His Excellency Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri the Minister of Manpower said, “Based on the Labour Laws issued by Royal Decree No. 35/2003, and Royal Decree No. 76/2004 defining the powers of the Ministry of Manpower, and adopting its organizational structure and based on what is required by the public interest.”
The first article states:
The following professions shall be practiced in the private sector companies for Omanis:
- Sales representative / sales promoter
- A purchases representative.
The second article states:
Licenses for the recruitment of a non-Omani workforce, and work-permit licenses issued for professions specified in Article 1 of this decision are valid until their expiration date.
The third article states that anything that violates this decision or contradicts its provisions shall be canceled.
The fourth article states that the decision shall be published in the official gazette and shall be enforced from the day following the date of its publication.
