Muscat governorate set to be closed from April 10 to April 22, 2020

Oman has announced placing Muscat governorate under total lockdown for 12 days, as of Friday, Oman News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The move is part of the the country’s intensive efforts and precautionary measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Supreme Committee said on Wednesday that all entry and exit points in Muscat Governorate will be closed from 10am on Friday, April 10, until 10am on Wednesday, April 22, with the continuation of checkpoints in all governorates.

The committee also decided in its meeting to continue to suspend studies in all educational institutions in the sultanate until further notice, while stressing the importance of continuing the online learning via various platforms.
