The Supreme Committee in charge of dealing with COVID-19 held a meeting today, headed by His Excellency Mr. Hammoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Interior, and in the presence of all its members.
The committee decided:
- Extending the closure of the Governorate of Muscat through the control points until 10 AM, Friday, May 8th, 2020.
- Ramadan gatherings, such as offering iftar meals in mosques or other places are prohibited and so are sports, cultural and other group activities.
- The continued closure of mosques for all prayers including Tarawih prayer; call to prayer will continue per usual.
- Emphasizing on everyone to avoid gatherings during the holy month of Ramadan, whatever its type.
