Muscat Municipality to close all commercial shops in Muscat governorate starting March 23, 2020

The Muscat Municipality has issued a decision to close all shops within the Governorate of Muscat, starting from the date of today, 23 March 2020 until further notice to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

However, the municipality stated that the decision excludes the following stores:

  1. Food and consumer catering stores.
  2. Clinics, pharmacies and optical stores.
  3. Restaurants and cafes outside malls (but ordering and delivery services only).
  4. Gas stations.
