For those who are not yet familiar with the location of bus stop and the schedule of Mwasalat bus. Here is a good information that will help you ease with your daily commute around Muscat.
All you need is your mobile phone with Google maps app and of course a mobile data.
Mwasalat has now activated the Google Maps “Transit” service, through which all of its internal lines within the Muscat Governorate are available on Google Maps.
This service provides customers with details of all of the Mwasalat routes within Muscat, such as bus stop locations and departure times, as well as the cost of the trip from the departure point to the destination.
Customers will now be able to more accurately plan their travels, with Google Maps displaying all seven public transport routes within the Muscat Governorate. Customers will also be able to identify the routes that become congested with traffic during peak hours, along with any alternative routes that they may be able to use. Through the service, passengers can also locate the nearest bus stops to any given location.
As a second phase Mwasalat is planning to add its external routes that run between the Sultanate’s various governorates, to Google maps. The company is also working on activating a bus tracking system so that customers can accurately identify the location of a given bus, so that they can determine its exact arrival time.
