National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Karl Chua said they will launch its online system which will collect demographic data of those who will apply for the national ID.
Filipinos can now apply for the country’s national identification system on starting April 30.
In a report on GTV’s Balitanghali , Chua said NEDA will launch its online system which will collect demographic data of those who will apply for the national ID.
However, Chua pointed out that applicants must still personally go to their registration centers for their biometrics as well as open their own bank account.
Chua said the national ID system would help in fast tracking vaccination program as well as distribution of financial aid during the lockdown.
He added that the system will help low-income families to put up their own bank accounts.
