OWWA’s list of Education and Training Programs and Special Scholarship/Educational Assistance Projects

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has a lot of Education and Training Programs and Special Scholarship/Educational Assistance Projects to help its OFW members.

REGULAR SCHOLARSHIP / EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

  1. SESP – Skills for Employment Scholarship ProgramFinancial assistance of up to Php14,500.00 per course for a technical-vocational training for active member-OFWs or their dependents at any TESDA accredited training centers.

    Tulong pinansyal hanggang Php14,500.00 para sa aktibong miyembro ng OVVWA o kanyang dependent para sa kursong technical-vocational sa alinmang TESDA accredited training center.

     

  2. ODSP – OFW Dependent Scholarship Program An educational financial assistance worth Php20,000.00 per school year to qualified dependents of active OWWA members whose monthly salary is US$600.00 or below.

    The scholar can enroll in any 4 or 5-year baccalaureate course or associate course in any CHED accredited college or university.

    Tulong pinansyal sa halagang Php20,000.00 bawat taon para sa pag-aaral sa kolehiyo ng kwalipikadong dependent ng isang aktibong miyembro ng OWWA na may sweldo na hindi lalagpas sa 1/5,54,0.00.

     

  3. EDSP – Education for Development Scholarship Program A scholarship grant offered to qualified beneficiaries/dependents of active OWWA members who intend to enroll in any 4 to 5-year baccalaureate course in any preferred colleges/ universities.

    With a financial assistance amounting to a maximum of Php60,000.00 per school year.

    Tulong pinansyal sa halagang Php60,000.00 bawat taon para sa pag-aaral sa kolehiyo ng kwalipikadong dependent ng isang aktibong miyembro ng OWWA.

    Kinakailngan na mapabilang sa top examinees ng DOST ang dependent upang mag-kwalipika sa EDSP.

SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP / EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROJECTS

  1. Project EASE – Educational  Assistance through Scholarship in EmergenciesEducation assistance of Php10.000.00 per annum for a maximum of 4 years to a qualified dependent of an OFW with active OWWA membership status at the time of his/ her repatriation to the country from the declaration of the pandemic on 01 February 2020.

    Tulong pinansyal sa halagang Php10.000.00 bawat taon hanggang apat na taon para sa pag-aaral sa kolehiyo ng dependent ng isang OFW na aktibong miyembro ng OWWA nung araw na siya ay na-repatriate sa bansa simula noong unang araw ng Pebrero 2020.

     

  2. Tabang OFW – Tabang OFWsA one-time tertiary education subsidy fo dependents of repatriated, displaced, or deceased OFWs worth Php30,000000. It is a financial assistance intended for one (1) college-level dependent of an OFW who was repatriated, displaced or died during the CoVID-19 pandemic.

    Tulong pinansyal sa halagang Php 30,000 para sa dependent , isang OFW na na-repartiate, nawalan ng trabaho o namatay ngayong panahon ng pandemya.
