The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has officially announced that applications for its scholarship programs, the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP), is now open for the school year 2025-2026. These programs provide financial assistance and educational opportunities for the children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are pursuing college education.

Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP): This program is designed to support children of active OWWA members who have demonstrated academic excellence. EDSP provides financial assistance for a four- or five-year baccalaureate course in any college or university in the Philippines.
Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP): This scholarship is aimed at students interested in pursuing courses related to Science and Technology. CMWSP is open to deserving Filipino students who meet specific qualifications and are interested in STEM fields.
Who Can Apply?
These scholarships are open to incoming first-year college students for SY 2025-2026. Applicants must be either children of OFWs (for EDSP) or academically talented students interested in science and technology courses (for CMWSP).

The CMWSP scholarship focuses on STEM fields, supporting students enrolled in science and technology-related courses. Here is a sample list of courses eligible for the CMWSP scholarship:
