PhilHealth Advisory: Premium contribution schedule for land-based migrant workers / OFWs

PhilHealth on Monday, December 23, 2019, issued an advisory about the premium contribution schedule for land-based migrant workers / OFWs. The advisory states that:

    1. Starting December 7, 2019, the premium contributions shall be computed based on member’s monthly income. As such, all OFWs shall be required to provide a copy of proof of income, such as overseas employment contract or any valid document indicating the monthly income, subject to PhilHealth validation.
    2. In the transition, payment of P2,400 shall be accepted as initial payment prior to departure. The OFW may pay the balance after six (6) months in full, or in the next two (2) quarters.
    3. Following are computations for premium payments with initial payment of P2,400 (CY2019 • CY2020):
