Philippine Embassy in Muscat announced the initial repatriation flight schedule

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat, Oman has issued an advisory dated June 16, 2020, regarding the update of repatriation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ADVISORY UPDATE REPATRIATION DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat expresses its appreciation to all Filipino nationals in Oman for their cooperation and for abiding by the advisory on repatriation because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Embassy is happy to announce that the initial repatriation flight scheduled to depart from Muscat International Airport on 20 June 2020 is in the final stages of preparation.



An airline representative (Oman Air) will be communicating directly through the provided contact details submitted by the respondents to the online platform to finalize booking procedures. Kindly strictly follow procedures and instructions as non-compliance may result in the forfeiture of slot in favor of the one next in fine.

Those who may need medical certification and other health documents as part of airline boarding procedures are advised to obtain them prior to departure.

Kindly check with the airline as to the requirements and procedures on this regard. Also, the Embassy assumes that all visa cancelation procedures will be attended to by the respective employers or sponsors as required by Oman government regulations.

As this is the initial repatriation flight, the public is informed that subsequent repatriation flights are being arranged. Those who have submitted requests for repatriation assistance by way of the online portal and are not in the initial repatriation flight shall be included in subsequent repatriation flights.

The Embassy assures that it shall continue to arrange for repatriation flights to the Philippines for Filipino nationals in Oman affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and who wish to be repatriated until airline and airport operations are normalized. Advisories shall be issued as details of the repatriation flights are finalized.
