Philippine Embassy in Muscat issued advisory on flight cancellations and rebooking

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat on Thursday has issued an advisory regarding the flight cancellations and rebooking.

The advisory reads as follows:

The Philippine Embassy in Muscat would like to inform Filipino nationals affected by recent flight cancellations and/or rebooking by airlines flying to the Philippines due to the temporary cap on international arrivals in Manila, that their concerns and requests for consideration should be brought to the attention of the respective airline offices or travel agencies directly. Affected passengers are advised to contact the airline’s office or the travel agency through their provided contact numbers.

The Embassy requests the cooperation and understanding of the affected passengers as the temporary measure ordered by the Philippine government’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19, is in the interest of preventing the spread of the deadly virus. The Embassy further informs that it may not be able to entertain any request for consideration as the cancellation and/or rebooking made by the airlines is based on their own assessment and operational considerations.

Filipino nationals in Oman are further advised to postpone unnecessary travel to the Philippines so as not to be unduly inconvenienced and to give way to those who may have more immediate and urgent necessity.
