The Philippine Embassy in Oman has released a revised guidelines for next repatriation flight, read the advisory content below:
ADVISORY UPDATE REPATRIATION DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC
REVISED GUIDELINES FOR NEXT REPATRIATION FLIGHT
The Philippine Embassy in Muscat expresses its appreciation to all Filipino nationals in Oman for their cooperation and for contributing to the success of the initial repatriation flight for Filipinos affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Embassy is delighted to announce that the next repatriation flight is now in the final stages of preparation. The date of the flight will be provided once the flight clearances from Philippine and Omani authorities have been secured. In this regard, the Embassy requests Filipino nationals in Oman affected by the COVID-19 who wish to depart on the next repatriation flight to Manila to be guided by the following:
- Booking procedures shall commence once the appropriate clearances for the flight have been obtained. The Embassy will make the announcement in due course;
- Those who wish to book for the repatriation flight are advised to deal directly with the airline. The Embassy reiterates that it has not authorized any third-party to act on its behalf or to facilitate booking procedures. The public is advised to be cautious in the interest of maintaining personal security and privacy;
- There is no preliminary listing for the repatriation flight. The online platform used for the initial repatriation flight has been disabled. Passengers will now have to book directly with the airline. Booking with the airline shall be subject to the availability of seats at the time the booking is made;
- If you are an OFW, you are encouraged to register with the OFW Assistance Information System (OASIS). The system may be accessed at: oasis.owwa.gov.ph;
- The employer is responsible for the repatriation of an OFW whose employment is affected by the pandemic. The OFW is requested to coordinate with the employer for the purchase of the ticket and for compliance to exit procedures, including visa cancelation;
- For those on tourist or family visit visa, you, your family and/or your sponsor is responsible for your repatriation to the Philippines;
- If your employment and/or residence status in Oman has been affected by COVID-19 and you have issues that may hinder your repatriation, kindly fill-up the Request for Assistance Form that may be found on this link: https://muscatpe.dfa.gov.ph/images/REQUEST_FOR_ASSISTANCE_FORM.pdf Email the form along with a copy of your passport and/or resident card to muscat.pe@dfa.gov.ph.
- On the day of departure for Manila, passengers are encouraged to register and fill-out the electronic Case Investigation Form (e-CIF) and secure your own QR Code. Registration on the e-CIF will facilitate arrival procedures at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). The e-CIF may be accessed at: ecif.redcross.org.ph.
The Embassy would like to assure that it will continue to work for the immediate repatriation to the Philippines of Filipino nationals in Oman who wish to be repatriated as they are affected by the pandemic. Subsequent advisories shall be issued on the matter.
