Individuals who were fully vaccinated abroad entering the Philippines from “green” or low-risk countries are now allowed to undergo a seven-day quarantine period starting July 1, Malacañang said Tuesday.
The shortened quarantine period only previously covered persons who were fully vaccinated in the Philippines.
“Sa mga nakatanggap ng full vaccination sa labas ng Pilipinas, kinakailangan dala niyo ang opisyal ng dokumento na nagsasabi na sila ay nabakunahan na,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque in an online press briefing.
Effective 01 July 2021, and notwithstanding the provisions of the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines, as amended, the inbound international travel to any port of the Philippines of all individuals fully vaccinated in the Philippines regardless of travel history, and those vaccinated abroad who stayed exclusively in “Green” countries/jurisdictions in the past fourteen days immediately preceding arrival, shall be governed by the following guidelines:
