Precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus during shopping

The Government Communication Center (GC), has announced important measures that should be followed to prevent the spread of coronavirus during shopping.

A statement issued online by the GC said:

  1. Make sure to wash or sterilise your hands before entering the shopping center.
  2. Don’t take family members, especially children and the elderly.
  3. Prepare your shopping list in advance.
  4. It is preferred to use your own shopping bags.
  5. Avoid touching objects that you do not need.
  6. Make sure that the shopping cart is sterilized.
  7. Use electronic payment.
  8. Make sure not to shop at peak times when the shopping center is crowded.
  9. Keep safe distance of at least 2 meters between you and others.
  10. Clean your shoes with diluted chlorine or bleach by adding 10 to 15 ml of bleach to a litre of water and then spray it on the surfaces you need to sterilize and clean.
  11. Make sure to wash your hands very well with soap and water and change your clothes.
  12. When you go back home take out the items from bags and dispose the bags directly by throwing them into the trash.
