ROP revises fines for violations COVID-19 rules in Oman

The Royal Oman Police has increased some of the fines of COVID-19 violations amid the rise in new cases of COVID-19 in the Oman.

In a decision issued by Lt. General, Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs on Sunday revised the COVID-19 fines.

  • OMR 300: Refusing to do a COVID-19 test.
  • OMR 300: Non-commitment to home or institutional quarantine.
  • OMR 3,000 with one month closure: Commercial complexes, shops and private establishments failing to comply to the instructions of the Supreme Committee.
  • OMR 300: Refraining from wearing, removing, or destroying the tracking bracelet.
  • OMR 300: Refraining from registering in the Tarasud App.
