Ruwi and Ghala Church: Christmas 2023 and New Year’s Mass Schedules

Ruwi and Ghala Church are getting ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with excitement and commitment as the happy season of Christmas comes closer. Both churches have made public their Christmas 2023 Mass schedules, encouraging both the general public and Christians to join them in prayer and joy. Christmas 2023 and New Yea 2024 is quickly approaching.

Plan your schedule ahead of time. You can file for your official leaves or ask permissions from your employer so that you can attend the scheduled masses.

Sts. Peter And Paul Catholic Church, Ruwi, Muscat

On 15th December, Friday, they shall have the Parish Carols singing in the Main Parish Hall after the 7:00 pm Mass.

Christmas Mass timings as follows:

  • 24th December, Sunday Morning 6:00 am, usual Sunday Mass
    3:00 pm, Syro-Malankara – in the main Parish Hall
    8:30 pm – Carrols singing.
    9:00 pm – Nativity of the Lord, Vigil Mass
  • 25th December, Monday
    Masses in English: 6:00 am, 7:30 am, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm
    Language Masses: Syro – Malabar 12:30 am
    Tagalog 9:00 am
    Urdu 12:00 noon (Upper Parish Hall)
    Tamil 7:00 pm (Main Parish Hall)

New Year Mass timings:

  • 31st December, Sunday Moring 6:00 am, Sunday usual Mass
    7:30 pm Thanksgiving Eucharistic Adoration
    9:00 pm Solemnity of Mary Mother of God
  • 1st January 2024, Monday.
    Masses in English: 6:00 am, 7:30 am, 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm
    Language Masses: Tagalog 9:00 am
    Tamil 7:00 pm (Main Parish Hall)
    Malayalam 8:30 pm (in the Church)
    Syro – Malankara 8:30 pm (Main Parish Hall)

Holy Spirit Church, Ghala, Muscat

  1. The Dawn Masses “Simbang Gabi” in Tagalog will begin from Saturday 16th to Sunday 24th December at 5.00 AM in the Church.
  2. The Christmas Confessions for parishioners will be held from Tuesday, 19th to Thursday, 21st December from 10.00 AM to 12.00 noon and 5.30 PM to 9.00 PM.  All Parishioners are earnestly urged to make their confessions and prepare themselves spiritually for the celebration of Christmas.
  3. The Christmas Eve Celebration will commence with Carol Singing on Sunday 24th at 07.50 PM followed by a Solemn Mass at 8.30 PM in the Church.
  4. 25th December Christmas Day.  Holy Masses will be as follows:

Masses in English     :   06.00 AM, 09.00 AM, 5.30 PM and 7.00 PM
Mass in Arabic            :   11.00 am in the Church
Mass in Italian            :   10.30 am in the Chapel
Mass in Tagalog          :   12.30 pm in the Church
Mass in Malayalam    :   8.30 pm in the Church
Mass in Tamil              :   8.30 pm in the Parish Hall
