Within the framework of the royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultanate has decided to end the work of the decision to close commercial activities and prevent movement of individuals and vehicles, starting from the evening of August 21, 2021.
The Supreme Committee on Covid-19 has issued a number of other decisions:
To enter the Sultanate from all land, sea, and airports, it is required to receive two doses of the vaccines approved in the Sultanate (for those aged 18 years and above) and to undergo a Covid-19 PCR test before or upon arrival in the Sultanate. Seven-days health quarantine with a PCR test on the eighth day is required for those who tested positive.
Starting from September 1, 2021, vaccination will be a condition to allow entry to all government units and private sector establishments, including commercial complexes, restaurants, and other commercial activities, as well as attending cultural, sports, group events. Heads of government and private units must take the necessary measures to implement these decisions.
The general framework for operating schools in the Sultanate during the 2021/2022 school year has been adopted, according to the mechanism that will be announced by the Ministry of Education, with emphasis on the need to adhere to all precautionary measures for the safety of male and female students and members of the teaching and administrative staff. These protocols will be in line with the latest epidemiological situation in the Sultanate.
