Teaching staff in government and private institutions, families exempted from institutional quarantine

The Supreme Committee has excluded all teaching staff in government, private and international institutions, and their families coming to the Sultanate from the institutional quarantine, provided that they adhere to the home quarantine and wear the electronic bracelet, a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said in a statement to all airlines operating in Oman.

Earlier in Mid July, all medical and medical assistance categories (including all healthcare providers working in the public and private health sectors such as doctors and nurses, labs and X-ray technicians, pharmacists, and their family members are exempted from the mandatory institutional quarantine upon arrival to the Sultanate and shall adhere to home quarantine and to wear the electronic tracking bracelet.

Meanwhile, there is an existing suspension of entry to the Sultanate until further notice for arrivals from: the Republic of Sudan, the Federal Republic of Brazil, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of India, the United Kingdom, Islamic Republic Pakistan, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the Republic of Philippines, the Kingdom of Thailand, Malaysia, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Tunisia, the State of Libya, the Republic of Argentina, the Republic of Colombia and arrivals from any other country if they have passed through any of the aforementioned countries during the previous 14 days preceding their request to enter the Sultanate.
