Everyone is excited about the reopening of international flights in Oman on October 1, 2020, particularly our kababayans who are stranded in the Philippines.
In today’s 16th press conference of the Supreme Committee on COVID-19, many important details being announced related to travel and tourism.
Let’s see some of those and it is important to take note of these so that we will have a smooth and worry-free journey back in Oman.
- Those arriving in Oman must download the Tarassud Plus App and must do PCR tests. These procedures will be applicable to airports, and a specialized team will be present to do the PCR examination to all.
- Anyone coming through land ports must bring a PCR test and must wear a bracelet.
- 14 days quarantine is mandatory for everyone coming to the Sultanate
- Travel insurance must for those travelling to Oman for 30-days.
- Citizens and foreigners can leave the Sultanate without prior approval, but they have to follow the health guidelines prescribed by the Supreme Committee
- Some groups will be excluded from PCR examination when they enter the Sultanate through land ports, and they will be determined by a decision from the Supreme Committee.
- The traveler’s guide will be available on the authority’s website caa.gov.om , Including all instructions and instructions to be followed by passengers departing and arriving to the Sultanate and at the airport.
- Entry procedures at land ports are same for anyone coming to the Sultanate. All inbound travellers must register in Tarassud+ app.
- The issue of visas was discussed at the SC meeting. Borders will be opened initially for citizens and residents who have a valid residence visa. Decision on other visas will be taken after studying the experience
