Before the tax implementation on pork products in Oman, you can easily drive to the nearest meat shop that sells pork meat such as the one in Ghubra and in Muttra. Unfortunately, due to the tax, the price of pork products in Oman tremendously increased and it prompted most of our kababayans to find suppliers who offer a cheaper price.
Currently, the price of pork that is sold in leading meat shops ranges from 7 RO to 11 RO.
Luckily, I found this Chinese shop in Al Hail.
Pork belly is at 6.5 RO, ribs at 6.6 RO and so on…
